NFT Creator

NFT Creator turns your images into Solana NFTs and mints them straight into your wallet. Make one piece, a batch where you edit every NFT on its own, or a full collection drawn from folders of trait layers. The files go to permanent Arweave storage, and the page lists every cost before you approve anything.

Platform fee

0.05 SOL for one NFT, 0.002 SOL per NFT in a run (at least 0.05 SOL)

A new collection adds 0.05 SOL once. The rent that stays inside each NFT and the Solana network fee are separate, and the cost panel shows both.

When this tool fits

#when-this-tool-fits
  • You have artwork and want it on chain as NFTs your holders can trade on Magic Eden and Tensor.
  • You have trait layers (backgrounds, bodies, eyes, hats) and want a generated collection of unique combinations.
  • You want a holder pass, badge or ticket for your token’s community without drawing anything yourself.

Before you start

#before-you-start
  • A connected wallet (how to connect). The NFTs are minted into it unless you set another wallet for an NFT.
  • Your images as PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP files, up to 4 MB each. For a layered collection, one folder per layer with that layer’s variants inside.
  • Enough SOL for the total in the cost panel. Until the wallet covers it, the page says how much is missing and the mint button stays off.
  • A browser that allows site storage. A run of more than one NFT keeps a temporary key there, so private windows can only mint one NFT at a time.

How to use it

#how-to-use-it
  1. Add or generate your NFTs

Pick one of the three tabs at the top. Layered collection: press Choose folders and each folder becomes a layer, its images the variants. Set the weights and the count, press Generate, and the drafts appear in the studio. Single NFTs: press Add images and every image becomes one draft. Ready-made design: pick a design such as Holder Pass, pick your token, and the drafts are filled in for you.

  2. Set names, traits and royalty

Click a draft to edit its name, description, traits and the wallet it goes to. Select several drafts to change them together. Open Collection & royalty to name the collection, give it a symbol and an image, set the royalty and who receives it, and name every NFT with one pattern.

  3. Check the cost and mint

Read the cost panel: the mint fee, the collection fee, the rent kept inside the NFTs, network fees, storage and the line Leaves your wallet. Press Mint NFT or Mint NFTs and approve in your wallet. When the run ends, a summary shows every NFT address, the SOL that left the wallet and the SOL that came back.

Three ways to make the NFTs

#three-ways-to-make-the-nfts
TabWhat you give itWhat you get
Layered collectionOne folder per trait layer, or layers added one by oneUp to 2,000 unique combinations per run, named by your pattern
Single NFTsYour finished imagesOne NFT per image, each with its own name, traits and recipient
Ready-made designYour token and a design such as Holder Pass, OG Badge or Event TicketFilled-in artwork for your wallet or for every wallet on a holder list
  • Layered collection: the live preview draws a sample NFT from your layers. Click the picture for another sample. The page counts the possible combinations and refuses a count higher than that.
  • Single NFTs: drop up to 2,000 images. Each card shows whether it still needs a name.
  • Ready-made design: ten designs, from Holder Pass to Airdrop Voucher. Your token’s logo, name and symbol fill the artwork, and you can change any of them. Paste a holder list (rows copied from a Holder Snapshot sheet work) and each wallet gets one NFT minted straight to it. Tiers by holding gives the top 10% Gold, the next 30% Silver and the rest Bronze.

Key settings

#key-settings
  • Name: shown in wallets and on marketplaces. Required, up to 64 bytes, which is fewer characters when the name has accents.
  • Description: optional text stored with the NFT.
  • Traits: up to 50 per NFT, 64 characters each. Marketplaces show them as filters, and rarity comes from how often each value appears.
  • Mint to: the wallet the NFT goes into. Leave it empty to keep it yourself.
  • Weight and presence (layers): a trait’s weight sets how often it is drawn against the others in its layer. The percentage on each layer sets how often that layer appears at all; at 100% every NFT gets one of its traits.
  • Rules (layers): pick two traits that should never appear together.
  • How many and Name pattern (layers): the number of NFTs to draw, and a name such as J Genesis #{n} where {n} becomes 1, 2, 3.
  • Collection: New collection groups the NFTs on marketplaces and carries the royalty. It is on by default for two or more NFTs. No collection leaves each NFT on its own, which suits a single piece.
  • Royalty: 0% to 50%, paid on resales by marketplaces that honor it. Split it between several wallets; the shares must be different addresses and add up to 100%.
  • Creator can freeze, burn or move: lets you freeze, burn or move any copy later, for tickets, expiring passes or game items. Buyers see these on marketplaces, so turn them on only when the project needs them.
  • Lock name and image: the name, link and image can never change after the mint.
  • Traits on chain: also writes the traits into the NFT account so programs and games can read them. It costs a little more rent.

Let AI help

#let-ai-help

Start with AI opens a helper inside the Layered collection tab. You describe the idea in a sentence and pick a style. The AI then writes a plan of layers and variants, which you can edit before anything is drawn.

  • The plan is free. Change the style or the idea and ask for a new plan as often as you like.
  • Drawing uses credits. A drawn layer part costs 8 credits, a single picture 11, and Edit with AI on a picture 11. Start with Draw one sample (one part from each layer), and draw the rest only if you like it.
  • Credit packs: 500 credits for 0.1 SOL, 2,700 for 0.5 SOL and 5,600 for 1 SOL, bought with Buy credits in one wallet payment.
  • Welcome credits: a wallet that holds at least 0.05 SOL gets 50 free credits once, on its first visit, while the day’s gift budget lasts.
  • No refunds: credits never expire and are not refunded. Minting the NFTs is a separate SOL fee.

Fees and costs

#fees-and-costs
CostAmount
J Tools platform fee0.05 SOL for one NFT, 0.002 SOL per NFT in a run (at least 0.05 SOL). Ten NFTs cost 0.05 SOL, a hundred 0.2 SOL
New collection0.05 SOL once per collection
Rent and create feeAbout 0.0035 to 0.004 SOL per NFT, more with traits on chain. It stays inside the NFT, it is not a J Tools fee
Permanent storageFree for files up to 100 KB. Larger images need a small storage payment, and what it does not spend comes back
Solana network feePaid to validators; a run is funded with a little extra and the unused part comes back
AI creditsOptional, bought separately. Planning is free

What you approve

#what-you-approve
  1. Storage, only when needed. If any image is larger than 100 KB, your wallet first sends a small storage payment to a temporary upload key the page creates in your browser. That is one extra approval. The key pays for the upload and sends back what it does not spend.
  2. One NFT: a single transaction that creates the NFT (and its collection, if you made one) and pays the fee. One approval.
  3. A run of many: one approval funds a temporary minter key in your browser with the fees, the rent and the network fees. That key mints every NFT in small batches, straight into each recipient’s wallet, then sends what is left back to you. You do not approve each NFT.
  4. If a run stops halfway, the NFTs that landed stay minted, the rest stay in the studio to mint again, and the leftover SOL comes back. When the tab closed before that, it comes back on your next visit with the same wallet.

Before you sign

#before-you-sign

Check the line Leaves your wallet and, for a run, the note under it that says about how much SOL comes back when the mint finishes. Your wallet window should show the same total. The app is the current source of truth for the amount and the fee.

Common issues

#common-issues
  • Approval window not showing? After about 15 seconds without an answer from the wallet, the page tells you to click your wallet’s icon in the browser toolbar. If the transaction expires before you approve, the run ends and nothing is charged.
  • This browser blocks site storage. A run of many needs it to keep its key safe. Leave private mode, or mint one NFT at a time.
  • Not PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, or over 4 MB. Those files are left out. Convert or shrink them and add them again.
  • Left out: one run holds up to 2,000 NFTs. Split the collection into more runs.
  • Not enough unique combinations. The layers cannot make that many different NFTs. Add traits or lower the count.
  • Royalty shares need valid, different addresses that add up to 100%. Fix the recipients under Collection & royalty.
  • Only some NFTs minted. The summary shows how many landed. The rest stay in the studio, and pressing mint again only mints those.
