# Add liquidity

Tools for the liquidity side of your token. Spin up a brand-new pool, open a concentrated position on Meteora, Orca, or Raydium, add or remove liquidity on a pool that already exists, launch a pool and snipe the first buy in the same block, or just see where your money is sitting. Start with Create LP if your token has no pool yet.

## Which one should I use?

* **Token has no pool yet?** [Create LP](/tools/liquidity/create-lp.md). This is the usual first step right after launch.
* **Pool already exists and you want to adjust it?** [Liquidity Add / Remove](/tools/liquidity/liquidity-add-remove.md).
* **Want the pool live and a first buy in the same block?** [LP Create and Buy](/tools/liquidity/lp-create-buy.md). The bundle lands both together, which helps against front-runners.
* **Just checking your positions?** [My Pools](/tools/liquidity/my-pools.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
These tools work across the major Solana DEXs. That covers Raydium (V4, CPMM, and CLMM), Meteora, Orca (Whirlpool), and PumpSwap. The pool type you pick changes the fields you see, so read the per-tool page before you commit funds. For the full list of routes each tool supports, see [Supported DEXs](/reference/supported-dexes.md). New to how pools price tokens? Start with [DEXs and liquidity](/concepts/dexes-and-liquidity.md).
{% endhint %}

## A quick word on order

Most teams run these in a predictable order. Launch the token, lock its authorities so buyers trust it, then open a pool. The reason is simple. A pool gives your token a price, and a locked token gives buyers a reason to take that price seriously.

If you are launching cold and want the first buy protected from snipers, skip straight to [LP Create and Buy](/tools/liquidity/lp-create-buy.md) so the pool and your buy ride in the same Jito bundle.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Adding liquidity sends real funds into a pool, and the amounts can be large. Double-check the mint, the price range (for CLMM and Whirlpool pools), and the side you are funding before you sign. A wrong range can park your capital where no trading happens.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.j.tools/tools/liquidity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
